WAU MIGA BLACK Oral Irrigator
An editorial profile of WAU’s MIGA BLACK oral irrigator, covering its three modes and four nozzles, the 140 ml reservoir and folding design, and how thinly it is specified next to WAU’s own MIGA PRO.
At a glance
MIGA BLACK is the thinnest listing of the fifteen, and the comparison that makes that clear is WAU’s own. An oral irrigator is defined by the water pressure it delivers, and this page gives three mode names - gentle, pulse, powerful - and not a single kPa figure, while the MIGA PRO page a few clicks away publishes a full 133 to 901 kPa range across nine combinations. The same goes for runtime, reservoir size and sterilisation: on every axis where both are documented, this one is documented less. What it does have is the wider nozzle set, four rather than three, including a tongue cleaner the PRO does not list. So the honest framing is that this is the cheaper model with more nozzles and less published specification, and a reader choosing between them should know that the gap is partly real and partly just what WAU chose to print. Gum disease and bad breath belong with a dentist. A South African price, availability and warranty position still need to be established.
- Useful for
- Readers comparing portable irrigators on nozzle range and reservoir size.
- Not ideal for
- Anyone who needs published water pressure figures, or who is managing a diagnosed gum condition.

- South African market
- verified — checked 2026-09-09. Checked against WAU Global's own published pages on 2026-09-09. DELIVERY: ships to most countries worldwide; South Africa appears in the site's country/region selector. International delivery quoted at 7-14 business days, after 1-2 business days' processing, via UPS, FedEx, DHL or USPS at WAU's discretion. Orders over USD 50 ship free; otherwise the charge is shown only at checkout. CURRENCY: the selector lists 'South Africa (USD $)' - WAU prices South African buyers in US dollars and does not offer rand. TAX AND DUTIES - WAU'S PAGES CONFLICT: the Shipping Policy states 'For the tax: WAU Global Will pay for the tax, we will not charge the tax fee from our customers', while the Terms of Service state 'posted prices do not include taxes, shipping, handling, customs or import charges' and that the customer 'will pay ... all applicable taxes'. Both cannot hold for an import into South Africa. Recorded as unresolved; the profile tells readers to expect to pay South African VAT, customs duty and courier clearance fees, which is the Terms position and the safe assumption. Written confirmation is being sought. RETURNS: 30 days from receipt, unused and undamaged, in original packaging with proof of purchase. The buyer must contact info@wauglobal.com first - 'items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted'. WAU says it will send a return shipping label if the return is accepted, but does not state whether that label is prepaid for international customers; returning a device from South Africa could be costly, so this is recorded as an open ambiguity rather than assumed either way. Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 10 business days of inspection. WARRANTY: WAU's FAQ says 'most products come with a manufacturer's warranty. Check the product description for details.' None of the 23 WAU product descriptions read for this catalogue states a warranty duration or its coverage, so at product level the warranty terms are a checked absence. WAU separately undertakes to replace a defective product free of charge, but does not say who pays international shipping, customs or VAT on a warranty claim.
- Safety documentation
- verified — checked 2026-09-09. Official WAU user guide (MIGA Black Oral Care Irrigator, model RM-MINI018) obtained and read 2026-09-09 from wau.ru; English section used. The model number matches this record's sourceSku. Specifications given as 1600 pulses per minute, 60-140 PSI water pressure, 0.6 mm nozzle, 140 ml tank, IPX7, three modes. PRECAUTIONS as written - 'if you have gum disease or have undergone oral surgery within the past two months, consult your dentist before using the device'. Do not use water above 50 C in the tank, to prevent burns. Do not apply excessive pressure with the nozzle on teeth or gums, to avoid injury. Do not operate the device without a nozzle attached. Do not add mouthwash or any other liquid to the tank - the manual warns this causes corrosion and can seize the tank to the body. Not intended for use by children; use only under adult supervision and keep out of reach. Use only for oral hygiene. Do not immerse for prolonged periods, charge in bathrooms or damp places, or store in heat or direct sunlight. The operating section also states that 'slight bleeding may occur during the first few uses - this is normal and should subside within a week. If bleeding persists for more than two weeks, discontinue use and consult your dentist.' Warranty stated as 1 year. Authorised manufacturer representative given as PERFECT SQUARE LIMITED, Auckland, New Zealand.

Pros and cons
Pros
- Four nozzles, including a tongue cleaner and an orthodontic head, are listed individually
- The folding design and integrated nozzle compartment are concrete, checkable features
- A 140 ml reservoir is published as a figure rather than described as large
Cons
- No water pressure is published for any of the three modes, which is the defining specification of an irrigator
- No battery capacity, charge time or IP rating, on a device used over a basin
- WAU’s own MIGA PRO publishes pressure, UV sterilisation and longer runtime, making this listing look under-specified by comparison
What to examine
- Merchant listing title
- MIGA BLACK - ORAL IRRIGATOR. Quoted as published by WAU.
- Modes
- Three, named gentle, pulse and powerful. WAU publishes no water pressure figure for any of them.
- Nozzles
- Four: standard, periodontal, orthodontic and a tongue cleaner.
- Reservoir
- 140 ml.
- Design
- Foldable, with a storage compartment for the nozzles.
- Battery
- Up to 90 minutes of operation. No capacity or charge time is published.
- How it compares in the range
- WAU also sells MIGA PRO, which publishes a pressure range in kPa, nine mode-and-speed combinations, a 180 ml reservoir, UV reservoir sterilisation and up to 140 minutes of runtime.
- What WAU does not publish
- No water pressure in kPa or PSI for any of the three modes, no pulses per minute, no battery capacity or charge time, no IP rating, no nozzle-replacement interval, and no contraindications.
- Manufacturer documentation
- WAU user guide for model RM-MINI018, obtained 9 September 2026 from WAU's Russian site: https://wau.ru/upload/iblock/801/3rpblimzu1jglphky35wpu2h2hycwio8.pdf . It is more specific than the English product listing, and this profile's figures and cautions are taken from it where the two differ.
How to use
WAU says to use it twice a day after meals, to start on the gentle mode and increase intensity gradually, and to use the orthodontic nozzle with braces. Follow the instructions supplied with the device.
Limitations and cautions
PowderedPurple has not tested this device and does not present it as a treatment for gum disease, gingivitis or any dental condition. WAU's own user manual (model RM-MINI018) says to consult your dentist before using it if you have gum disease or have had oral surgery in the past two months. It also notes that slight bleeding in the first few uses is normal and should settle within a week, and that bleeding lasting more than two weeks means you should stop and see a dentist - that is WAU's own instruction, and bleeding gums are worth a dental appointment regardless. Start on the gentlest mode. Do not use water hotter than 50 C, do not press the nozzle hard against teeth or gums, and never run it without a nozzle fitted. WAU says not to put mouthwash or any other liquid in this model's tank. Not for children except under adult supervision. A water flosser is an addition to brushing and cleaning between teeth, not a replacement for either, and not a substitute for seeing a dentist.
Product information from the source
The manufacturer specification describes this product as follows. These are source statements, not PowderedPurple conclusions, and they have not been independently verified.
- PowderedPurple does not adopt WAU’s description of MIGA BLACK as a "portable irrigator with an enlarged reservoir for comprehensive care" that "removes plaque, prevents gum disease, and provides gentle care for orthodontic appliances".
- It lists results with regular use as "removes plaque and tartar", "reduces the risk of gum disease", "eliminates bad breath" and "improves overall dental and gum health".
- These are the manufacturer’s own statements, quoted from its product page. WAU cites no supporting evidence and PowderedPurple has not verified them. Gum disease is a clinical condition and this device is not presented here as a treatment for it or as a substitute for dental care. Nothing on this page is medical advice.
