Editorial policy

Reader value comes before page volume

We publish a page when it helps a reader answer a distinct question or compare a specific product using information we can identify and source. We do not create an indexable page for every keyword, colour, face-shape and brand combination. Product listings that do not meet the editorial publication rule remain subject to review and Search Console evidence before indexation changes are made.

Product facts and limitations

Product profiles identify the retailer or manufacturer source, the date it was checked where recorded, the exact model or variant when available, and information that is missing. Retailer copy is attributed to that retailer. We do not infer a frame shape, fit guarantee, UV performance, safety result or hands-on experience from an image or a marketing phrase.

A source-based profile is not a personal-use review. We say “tested” only when a named reviewer actually used the product and the method is documented. The current catalogue does not claim personal product testing.

Recommendations and commercial relationships

Product inclusion is not a guarantee of a positive recommendation. Affiliate links are disclosed near the link and described in our Affiliate Disclosure. Commission may be earned when a reader purchases through a qualifying link. Merchant availability and terms can change, so readers should confirm price, delivery, duties, returns and warranty details with the seller.

Sources, expertise and AI

Articles link to sources for the claims they support and distinguish general evidence from facts about an individual listing. PowderedPurple does not imply clinical review, professional fitting or specialist expertise unless a qualified reviewer is identified and that review has occurred. AI may assist research organisation and drafting; a responsible editor must check claims, links, product identifiers and disclosures before publication. AI-generated visuals are labelled and are not evidence of product testing.

Corrections and updates

We correct material errors when readers or editors identify them. Corrections are recorded on the editorial team page. We change an “updated” date only after a meaningful change to the guidance, evidence, product details, links or structured data. Send a correction to info@powderedpurple.com.
