WAU LED SET Face and Décolleté Masks
An editorial profile of WAU’s LED SET, the paired face and décolleté masks, covering the five wavelengths each carries, the single controller that drives both, the six brightness levels and 15-minute cut-off, and the usage limits WAU publishes for it.
At a glance
The set is the most practically thought-through item in WAU’s LED line-up: two masks that cover the areas people actually ask about together, running from one controller on a single cable with synchronised modes, so there is one set of buttons rather than two. It is also the only listing in this batch that publishes usage limits and explicit exclusions - three to four sessions a week, fifteen minutes maximum, and not on damaged skin, acute inflammation or where light sensitivity exists. That is not a full contraindication list, but it is real guidance and the rest of the range mostly lacks it. Two things temper it. Four spectra carry wavelengths and yellow does not, which reads as an omission rather than a decision. And the green setting is claimed to combat couperose and rosacea - both diagnosed conditions - with nothing cited, which is where the copy reaches furthest past what the page supports. A South African price, availability and warranty position still need to be established.
- Useful for
- Readers comparing LED sets that cover the neck and décolleté as well as the face.
- Not ideal for
- Anyone seeking treatment for a diagnosed skin condition, or full dose and contraindication data.

- South African market
- verified — checked 2026-09-09. Checked against WAU Global's own published pages on 2026-09-09. DELIVERY: ships to most countries worldwide; South Africa appears in the site's country/region selector. International delivery quoted at 7-14 business days, after 1-2 business days' processing, via UPS, FedEx, DHL or USPS at WAU's discretion. Orders over USD 50 ship free; otherwise the charge is shown only at checkout. CURRENCY: the selector lists 'South Africa (USD $)' - WAU prices South African buyers in US dollars and does not offer rand. TAX AND DUTIES - WAU'S PAGES CONFLICT: the Shipping Policy states 'For the tax: WAU Global Will pay for the tax, we will not charge the tax fee from our customers', while the Terms of Service state 'posted prices do not include taxes, shipping, handling, customs or import charges' and that the customer 'will pay ... all applicable taxes'. Both cannot hold for an import into South Africa. Recorded as unresolved; the profile tells readers to expect to pay South African VAT, customs duty and courier clearance fees, which is the Terms position and the safe assumption. Written confirmation is being sought. RETURNS: 30 days from receipt, unused and undamaged, in original packaging with proof of purchase. The buyer must contact info@wauglobal.com first - 'items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted'. WAU says it will send a return shipping label if the return is accepted, but does not state whether that label is prepaid for international customers; returning a device from South Africa could be costly, so this is recorded as an open ambiguity rather than assumed either way. Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 10 business days of inspection. WARRANTY: WAU's FAQ says 'most products come with a manufacturer's warranty. Check the product description for details.' None of the 23 WAU product descriptions read for this catalogue states a warranty duration or its coverage, so at product level the warranty terms are a checked absence. WAU separately undertakes to replace a defective product free of charge, but does not say who pays international shipping, customs or VAT on a warranty claim.
- Safety documentation
- verified — checked 2026-09-09. Official WAU user guide (LED SET Phototherapy Face & Neck Masks, models K9C-1KB and FM-33) obtained and read 2026-09-09 from wau.ru; English section used. The manual resolves this record's compound sourceSku 'K9C-1KB FM-33': the set is two separate masks, the face mask K9C-1KB - the same unit as LED MASK 2.0 - and the neck mask FM-33, and the guide covers both. Face mask 190 x 679 x 5 mm, 380 g; neck mask 360 x 213 x 7.3 mm, 210 g. PRECAUTIONS as written - 'not suitable for infants, individuals with epilepsy, thyroid disorders, or those taking thyroid medication'. 'Do not use on damaged, injured skin or post-surgical wounds.' Stop use immediately on discomfort or side effects such as redness, itching or allergic reactions. Do not use the masks while charging, and do not touch the mask, cable or adapter with wet hands during charging. Home use only. WAU's FAQ confirms the masks are not waterproof and must be wiped, never washed or submerged. Warranty stated as 1 year.

Pros and cons
Pros
- WAU publishes usage limits and three explicit exclusions, which most of this range does not
- A single synchronised controller for both masks is a concrete design decision, not a marketing line
- Four of the five spectra carry a published wavelength, and six brightness levels are offered
Cons
- The yellow spectrum is the one setting with no wavelength published, in an otherwise specific list
- No irradiance or LED count, so brightness levels have no absolute meaning
- The listing asserts effects on couperose and rosacea, which are diagnosed conditions, with nothing cited
What to examine
- Merchant listing title
- LED SET - PHOTOTHERAPY MASK FOR THE FACE AND DECOLLETAGE AREA. Quoted as published by WAU.
- What is in the set
- Two masks - one for the face, one for the neck and décolleté - which WAU says can be used together or separately.
- Light spectra
- Five per mask, with wavelengths published for four: red 660 nm, blue 460 nm, green 525 nm, and a mixed white. Yellow is listed without a wavelength.
- Controller
- Both masks connect to a single control unit over a dual Type-C cable, and their modes are synchronised.
- Brightness
- Six intensity levels.
- Display
- An LCD showing session time, battery level and the selected mode.
- Timer
- A smart timer with automatic shut-off after 15 minutes.
- Battery
- Up to 30 minutes of cordless operation. No capacity or charge time is published.
- Fit
- An anatomical 3D shape which WAU says contours to the face, neck and décolleté.
- Published usage limits
- WAU states three to four sessions a week, at most 15 minutes each, on cleansed skin, and says to avoid use on damaged skin, acute inflammation or where there is light hypersensitivity.
- What WAU does not publish
- No wavelength for the yellow setting, no irradiance or LED count, no battery capacity, and no eye-protection guidance.
- Manufacturer documentation
- WAU user guide for model K9C-1KB, obtained 9 September 2026 from WAU's Russian site: https://wau.ru/upload/iblock/b13/hvdgswbx4zfe0w0tiltcki01yrtmhc27.pdf . It is more specific than the English product listing, and this profile's figures and cautions are taken from it where the two differ.
Limitations and cautions
PowderedPurple has not tested these masks and does not present them as a treatment for any skin condition. WAU's own user manual for the set (face mask K9C-1KB, neck mask FM-33) states they are not suitable for infants, for people with epilepsy, for people with a thyroid disorder, or for anyone taking thyroid medication, and that they must not be used on damaged or injured skin or post-surgical wounds. Stop immediately if you get redness, itching or any other reaction. Do not use them while charging, and never wash or submerge them - WAU says they are not waterproof and should only be wiped. Light therapy interacts with medication: check with a doctor or pharmacist first if you take anything that increases sensitivity to light, including some antibiotics, retinoids and diuretics. Do not look into the LEDs. The neck mask sits over the thyroid area, which is a further reason to ask a healthcare professional first if you have any thyroid condition. Ask before use if you are pregnant or being treated for a skin condition.
Product information from the source
The manufacturer specification describes this product as follows. These are source statements, not PowderedPurple conclusions, and they have not been independently verified.
- WAU says the set "brings salon-level cosmetology to your home" and that phototherapy "penetrates deep into the skin layers at a cellular level... activat[ing] natural regeneration processes, stimulat[ing] collagen production, and improv[ing] cellular metabolism".
- Of the spectra it says red at 660 nm "stimulates collagen production... reduces wrinkles, and lifts contours"; blue at 460 nm "fights acne, tightens pores, and provides an antibacterial effect"; and green at 525 nm "reduces redness, relieves irritation, combats couperose and rosacea".
- These are the manufacturer’s own statements, quoted from its product page. WAU cites no supporting evidence and PowderedPurple has not verified them. Acne, couperose and rosacea are clinical concerns and these masks are not presented here as a treatment for them. Nothing on this page is medical advice.
